After spending all that time looking for Sardinie, we also discovered quite a few extra toys that had gone missing recently.
The pink mousie next to my Sardinie is my next favourite toy, and I KNOW that Other Cat was responsible for sending her under the couch because he used to play with pink mousie all the time.

MouseDuck
During Tweet Week I posted a picture of me with my Mouseduck, and some of you were wondering if it was a new breed of mouse (or duck).
The story goes like this. Mum was out shopping one day (she can't remember where exactly but thinks maybe she was in Ikea) and saw a whole wall of cat toys. So of course she went to have a look for me (I have her well trained).
This duck was there in the cat toy section, but it was labelled as a mouse. So mum had to get it for me. There was also a fish labelled as a mouse, so she got me that one too. She thought it was funny. Mum is weird sometimes.

MrMouse woes
These are some of my mouses. I think both of them came from Charlie and Opy's mum and dad! I don't know what has gotten into MrMouse lately - every time the pupparazzi come around he is nowhere to be seen! He is not being a very good bodyguard and I am a bit worried. Do you think he is being paid by the pupparazzi?

Mouse Update
This is the new mouse that Charlie and Opy's mum and dad brought me on the weekend. Isn't he cool? He has this string that you pull and he runs around - it makes it even more fun to chase!
Now late yesterday, I was looking for Mr Mouse. I found him here:
upside down, behind the coat rack in our lounge! How do you suppose he got like that? Do you think the evil squirrels infiltrated our house and attacked Mr Mouse?

Recovering
I forgot to say yesterday in my vet report that the vet said I am in very good health for a nearly-nine-years-old kitty. I wouldn't need to go and see him again for at least five years, will I?
On Saturday night, mum and dad went to visit Charlie and Opy's mum and dad. They didn't get home until 12.30am on Sunday morning so they must have had a good time. But most importantly, Charlie and Opy and their mum and dad sent me a Christmas present! I got some new mouses, including a fish mouse, and a Christmas card. You can't see it though, some of you are getting cards from Charlie and Opy if you are in the Dogs with Blogs Christmas Card exchange so I don't want to spoil your surprise.
I also got a bag of treats! They are Huffle-sized chicken and fish sandwiches! They are so very tasty, and now I don't feel so bad that my mum can't find Temptations for me. Thanks Charlie and Opy, and your mum and dad!

Special Huffle Things
While mum and dad were away almost forever, they met up with Steve and Kat and their mum and dad for lunch one day. Steve said mum and dad were well behaved so that was good. Wilbur, Steve, Kat and their mum and dad, and Khyra and her mum, sent along some presents for me! I have such nice friends.
Khyra and her mum also sent my mum and dad a card with a picture on it of a cat who looks just like me! I'll show you a picture of that another day.
I hope you enjoyed Turbo's debate against the Dyson Animal today too.

Special Huffle Toys and an Award
The other day I showed you the very cool card I got from Meeshka. I was so excited! But, then I realised that I hadn't shown you all the toys that Zim, Stormy, Amber and Dave sent me!
Here I am sleeping with my puppy wubba. Dave tried really hard to fine me a kitty wubba but this is just as good. I sleep with my paws around it most nights.

This is me with all my new toys that I've gotten recently. You can see the alligator I won during Steve, Kat and Wilbur's Day of Blogs. Sadly, I have to report that he does not taste like chicken.
Mr Mouse has turned out to be a very good bodyguard (most of the time) and I love the roly poly mice! I chase them all over the house.
Thanks also to Thomas, Phoebe and Trixie for giving me the Brillante Weblog Award!
I'm a lucky kitty to have such nice friends!

Help is on the way
My best friend Zimmie emailed me the other day and offered to find me a new body guard, since Polie didn't work out. I said yes please, and look! My new bodyguard is on the way. If anypup or kitty has a suggestion for his name, please leave me a comment or email!
Also, if anyone knows where to find sunglasses that are small enough for Mr Mouse to wear while he is on protective detail, I'd be pleased to know! Thankyou.

Busy times
Mum's away so I had to try and do this post all by myself. It's hard to type when you don't have thumbs, and you have long claws like me (until Queen Meeshka's claws are back, mine are available for her use).
Anyway after all my hard work this weekend I thought I'd show you a picture of me playing with my mouses. Not Roger; I haven't decided if I really like him yet. For starters, he takes up a lot of room in my bed! This is my oldest, most favourite mouse ever.
See how ferocious I look? I have been practicing that look on Salvador so he will leave me alone. I'm not sure how well it's working but he hasn't tried to hit me over the head for a couple of weeks now.

Unhappy Huffle
Mum has been away for two days. For some reason she didn't bring me any new mouses. I like Roger but he is very big so I can only play with him for a short time before I get tired and have to take a nap.
This is me, ignoring mum as she tried to take a photo of me:
I was trying to run away from her but she had that nasty camera already. Huffle is not happy!
Purrr S: notice how blue my eyes look? They're not really blue though.

Sleepy Huffle
This morning it's 3degC (that's 37degF for all you other pups and kitties out there). I don't like it when it's this cold, my paws get all chilly if I go outside so I have to stay in to keep warm. That doesn't give an explorer cat much chance to go exploring!
Last night I slept between mum and dad all night, it was so toasty! Early this morning I clawed mum's hair and got under the doona and I was even more toasty!
Here is a picture of me being toasty in my Huffle bed - notice I have some of my mouses with me for safekeeping.

Disaster!
This is very bad news indeed. The cleaners came yesterday and cleaned up the house and took away all the fur I was saving to give to mum for mother's day! Now what am I going to give her???
It's a full time job being an Explorer Cat and Honorary Husky so I don't have time to go out and earn money or whatever it is that mum and dad use to buy my food so I can't buy mum a present. I think this might be all Salvador's doing - he is always trying to make me look bad. I could try and steal one of mum's credit cards (I have seen some of you mention them on your blogs so you must be able to use them to buy things) but she is out for most of the day.
I will just have to strike a cute pose for mum (can I get extra credit for my class, Stormy?) and she will be happy. Then I will go back to being an Honorary Husky and making trouble!
By the way, my mouses are now back where they belong... all over the house.

Bed Domination Rule #3
In order to properly dominate the bed, send mum away for a night. Then sleep in the middle. Dad will not take over the rest of the bed because he doesn't want to squash you. Bed domination achieved!
It works really well when you spread out in the middle of the bed and sleep the "wrong" way around. Then you can really take over.
Mum has been away for two days with work. Did she bring me any new mouses from this "work"? No! Honestly, I don't know where I'm going wrong with her. And this morning she picked up all the mouses I have strategically placed around the house and put them away. Don't worry, by the time she gets home later today they will be back where they belong... spread around the house where everyone can admire them (except Salvador, he is not allowed to play with my mouses).

The wasteland
I promised the Ao4 I'd post a picture of our backyard so they could compare it to theirs. So without further ado, here is our wasteland, featuring me!
As you can see, we have no grass (Meeshka's human woman would be devastated) and no pretty flowers or plants. That's petty much what both the front and back yards look like. Mum has posted some more pictures on her blog but they don't have me in them so they're not worth looking at.
And I had a question about what happened to my favourite mouse, as featured in my last post. I played with it and it accidentally got nearly de-stuffed. I am a siberian husky in disguise!

Are you sure coffee in bed is a good idea?
Yesterday morning mum risked another coffee in bed, after the great coffee incident of a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm not saying that I did what my attorney-at-claw, Queen Meeshka, advised me to do, but mum did find a black hair in her cup. It wasn't hers, she has long blonde hair. It wasn't dad's (although I thought I might use that defence, as he made the coffee in question). Dad has short blonde hair. Salvador has brown and grey and white fur. Since I am the only one with black fur in the family, the finger has been pointed at me again!
*Sigh* I tell you, it's just not fair.
On the plus side, Grandpa came to visit on Friday and I let him pat me and rub my belly. I don't let anyone rub my belly, I hate it. He should feel special. He and mum watched some football game on the telly.
But even more excitingly, my favourite mouse has been found! It's the first one mum ever bought for me when I came to live here. We thought it was lost for good but mum thinks the cleaner found it on Thursday. I don't know where it's been all this time but I'm so happy to have it back. Here's a photo:

Tired
I've had a busy weekend. Some of mum's friends came over yesterday (they didn't bring me any new mouses - this is getting out of hand) but they did play with me and tell me how pretty I am. Well duh, as if I didn't know that already.
Saturday mum did some washing so I had to supervise the clothes being hung out on the line. If I don't watch her mum gets it wrong sometimes. Then I was tired and had to have a nap. It was a nice sunny day so I lay out in the backyard and soaked up some rays.
This morning mum caught me chasing my tail again. What can I say, if I had new mouses to play with I wouldn't have to do it. Speaking of mouses, my favourite grey one has gone missing. I'm blaming Salvador. He still hates me.
Turbo has put up the new food pyramid that we all need to be aware of. I have asked if I would be allowed to substitute ham for bacon, as I really like ham. If he says no I will just eat bacon, like he says I should.

When will they ever learn?
My grandparents (dad's parents) came to visit last night. They didn't bring me any new mouses to play with. It's just not good enough, I had to resort to chasing my own tail for entertainment. I mean, really. But I was clever, mum got the video camera out so I just sat down and did nothing.
I had a comment from Ben the Rottie this weekend (thanks for visiting, Ben) who said that polar bears are not as good as rotties. Now I don't know much about rotties (although Ben seems very nice and friendly) but my grandpa has a dog who is nicknamed the Polar Bear (see earlier post about Uncle Buckley) and he is very scary. I think it's because my whole catness is about the size of his head. Last time he came to visit I had to hide upstairs because he is so big. So I agree with Ben, rotties are waaaay nicer than polar bears.
And besides, my mum had a rottie (called Max) and her best fried was a black cat like me! It has to be a sign.
