Friday night at the movies

Every night at 10.30pm, I have to remind mum and dad to go to bed. I have a very strict routine and I expect them to follow it.

First, I tell dad it's time for bed. Then I stand on the cord for his mouse and his headphones on his computer, so they pull away from him. This encourages him to turn his computer off. Then I go and sit next to the coffee table, waiting to play the red dot game. I play this until I get tired and throw myself down on the ground. Then we must go upstairs, and that's where the excitement really begins.

My bestest friend Zimmie sent me Mr Mouse a while back. For a while he was my bodyguard but he didn't do a very good job so I changed his job description to "bedtime mouse". The following movie demonstrates what happens every single night at bed time.

The Tragic Demise of Mr Mouse

Remember when my best friend Zimmie sent me Mr Mouse for a bodyguard? Well he did a good job for a long time but something terrible has happened to him!
You might think he looks okay in that photo above, but check this one out!
He has a big hole in his bottom! It's even worse from this angle:
He looks like all his gizzards are falling out.

I have no idea how this happened. Really. Now you can see why I had to appoint Bazza as my bodyguard. He's been in training this week and will start protective detail on Monday. I hope he does a good job. And I hope he's not scared off by these pictures of Mr Mouse!

Sleepless Saturday

It's been very very hot this week, pups and kitties. Over 40C (102F) every day. I've spent a bit of time in my parsley pot:

But mostly I've been inside where it's a bit cooler. Mr Mouse has still not been behaving that well so I've had to teach him a few lessons. Hopefully he will learn something useful soon!
Mum and I have signed up for the Idita-Walk 2009, with some of the SMS mums and pups. She says she will be getting me my very own Huffle harness so we can go on walks together. I am not sure how I feel about this yet. The idea is: An event to promote physical fitness in the spirit of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race. The Iditarod Sled dog race is 1049 miles long from Anchorage to Nome, Alaska. To complete the Idita-walk, walk 30 minutes a day for 35 days between February 1, 2009 to March 31, 2009 for a total of 1049 minutes.

Monday morning means going to school

Well, for Mr Mouse anyway. He has been very naughty lately and keeps running away when the pupparazzi follow me. So he is at school today, learning his lesson.
I hope it sinks in.

MrMouse woes

These are some of my mouses. I think both of them came from Charlie and Opy's mum and dad! I don't know what has gotten into MrMouse lately - every time the pupparazzi come around he is nowhere to be seen! He is not being a very good bodyguard and I am a bit worried. Do you think he is being paid by the pupparazzi?

Mouse Update

This is the new mouse that Charlie and Opy's mum and dad brought me on the weekend. Isn't he cool? He has this string that you pull and he runs around - it makes it even more fun to chase!
Now late yesterday, I was looking for Mr Mouse. I found him here:
upside down, behind the coat rack in our lounge! How do you suppose he got like that? Do you think the evil squirrels infiltrated our house and attacked Mr Mouse?

Wordless Wednesday

Just playing with Mr Mouse again. If he doesn't stop running away when the pupparazzi come out I might have to reconsider his job.

Play session

The other day I was minding my own business and playing with Mr Mouse when the pupparazzi decided to get in on the act. Not just one of them; both of them! Honestly, what's a cat to do?

I was laying around and Mr Mouse and I were talking about my best friend Zimmie...

...when someone came past and tried to steal Mr Mouse away from me! I can't have that - he is my bodyguard and my best friend Zimmie sent him to me all the way from Kansas! I had to get him back:
Luckily I managed to rescue Mr Mouse from his mousenappers and he is back safe with me now. It was a close call though.

Disaster!

This has not been a good week. First I found out I am being left alone for FOUR whole weeks and then Mr Mouse disappeared! I looked for him and looked for him but I couldn't find him anywhere. I was so worried about him.

Mum looked and looked for him when she got home from work but she couldn't find him either. We had to get dad onto the job. We made him get down on the floor and look under all the furniture. Eventually he had to get a long stick out to dig Mr Mouse out from under the TV cabinet.

I don't know how he got under there. Maybe he was on a secret mission? But I am happy to have Mr Mouse back now. I have been playing with him all day.

Hmmm

Do you think Mr Mouse could be in danger?

Another Huffle Movie!

I know you've all been wondering what Mr Mouse does when he's not busy being my bodyguard. Mum got the video camera out to catch him in action this week!

My new bodyguard

My new bodyguard has arrived! He got here during the week and has been doing bodyguard training with ASIO ever since. I think he's ready to take on the job.

I was just sitting, minding my own business, getting toasty, when the pupparazzi appeared. Oh no!

Mr Mouse appeared out of nowhere and told the pupparazzi to go away and stop bothering me.

But they didn't listen so when they tried to take another photo, Mr Mouse jumped in front of me so no-one could get another pupparazzi shot!
I think he's got a big future being my bodyguard. You know what they say: good things come in small packages.
