Today is also my cousin's birthday.  He is in the Navy and currently deployed to the Gulf.  Happy birthday Adrian!

Springy Saturday

Now that we have had loads of rain and some days of sunshine, the garden is going crazy!

I think late spring is a very good time of the year, except for all the storms. I do not like storms (not you, Stormy!).  But I love to play in the garden and chase bugs.  You know there are LOTS of bugs in here.

This week I decided to help dad out in the back yard.

First I checked out the area of the deck that dad has already stripped, to see if he's done a good job.

Then I made sure he was using the high pressure water sprayer properly.

And then I had a look at the garlic that mum is growing. It's not parsley and it's not catnip so I hope it tastes good when it's ready.

It's a very busy job for a small black cat.

For the last time, I was not eating the plants! This is the path I take when I am on patrol in the back yard. I can't help it if the plants get in my way and I have to move them.

I just don't understand why no-one else can see the bugs! There are hundreds, thousands, MILLIONS of them in there and I have to get them! I have to protect the garden!

I have been looking at the plants in the garden and I think mum needs to take a serious look at this one next to me. It doesn't look too healthy to me.

I had nothing to do with it. I blame mum for being a lousy gardener.

A new plan

Well, of course I'm not going to sit in that lovely new parsley pot you bought me, when I could be sitting in the dirt.

Shhhh, I'm waiting for the stupid birds to come down here so I can catch one.

I've been out in the back yard, searching everywhere for my parsley pot, but I got distracted by these tasty, I mean pretty, plants.



But I have not given up the search for my parsley pot. It has to be somewhere. As Meeshka said, her human woman and my mum are almost the same person (seriously, it's spooky how alike they are) so there is no way mum has thrown away my parsley pot. I just have to find out where she is hiding it.

The men have finished with my backyard! It's very exciting. And tasty.

This big machine appeared in our garage the other day. The men doing the garden brought it with them.Zim, I've seen Adrill here as well! How do you suppose he got all the way over here too?

Back yard update

As part of the new deck in my back yard, there is a bench seat built in around the planter box I showed you yesterday.It smells a bit suspicious to me.

Parsley Pot Update

There is no good news so far. I have been looking for my parsley pot for weeks and I can't find it anywhere.This is part of the new planter box in our back yard. Do you think it could make a good substitute for my parsley pot? It's quite big.
