I let mum take some new photos of me last weekend.  When I had enough I covered my face up!

Today is my aunt's (mum's sister) birthday!  I hope she has a good day!

It has been so hot here this week that I didn't even want to sit on the floor.

So I sat on mum's bag instead. It was much better.

It has been a long week here, we even had thunderstorms on Wednesday night.  I do not like thunderstorms at all.  Luckily dad was there to keep me safe.  We are expecting nice weather this weekend so I plan to spend some time out on my deck.

I am hoping this weekend is going to be nicer than last weekend, so I can go out on my deck and spend some time soaking up the sun. I couldn't even go out on the balcony this week because it has been too wet! It's not fair.

p.s. see that green plant in my photo?  It is fake.  My mum rescued it from my great-grandpa's house after he died and mum and dad have kept it for years.  It used to be inside but I kept knocking it over so dad decided to "plant" it.  I worry about him sometimes.

What's that, you say? It's Friday?

That's good, it's been a long cold and wet week here in Melbourne. Bring on the weekend, I say!

It's Friday already and we have a long weekend in Melbourne to celebrate the Queen's Birthday. I had no idea Meeshka was famous enough to have a whole holiday named after her but I am not complaining.

It's well and truly winter here now so I'll be spending the morning in bed under the doona, and then the rest of the day next to my Huffle heater. There is plenty of room on the couch for anyone else who wants to come over.

When it's been raining like it has the past few days, you have to take advantage of every little bit of sun that you can. So when the sun came out yesterday for a bit I rushed outside to my deck to soak up some rays. I hope the weekend is sunny! I'm beginning to feel waterlogged.

Fun on Fridays with Huffle Mawson

A lot of my friends have been complaining about the cold and snow that they have at the moment. Except the sibes; they love the snow. But for those of you who do not like the cold, please feel free to come over to my house and hang out with me this weekend. It is going to be over 30 deg C/86F each day and we can all hang out on the sunny deck and eat some ham. Maybe I can convince mum to get us some prawns too.

It's finally getting warmer here - summer is coming soon - and I can spend lots of time out on my balcony snoozervising the street. New people have moved in across the road so I have to watch them to find out if they are kitty friendly people or not. You never know! I haven't seen any sign of a dog yet; maybe they don't have any pets.

Mum is having a four day weekend this weekend because Tuesday is a public holiday here, so she has taken Monday off work too! Four days of sleeping in and reading our emails on the MacBook in bed every day!

Pups and kitties, it is already Friday here in Australia and all I can say is thank goodness! I have not found my parsley pot yet, and mum keeps telling me off for eating her new plants. The weather here has been cold and raining and really windy, so I'm hoping for a nice weekend with some sun so I can lie out on the new deck. I hope everypup and kitty has a good Friday!

This is me sitting on the couch underneath my special Huffle blanket that my BFF Tia and her mum sent to me last week. It's very toasty and I think the colour matches my furs perfectly.

Friday facts

Remember that pup Laska who was lost? Good news: he came home! His new mum searched for him for days and days and eventually found him out in the forest and she bribed him with treats to come home. She might have gotten him home faster if she offered ham, just sayin'. Anyway he is very happy in his new home and that is good news.

My paw has recovered very nicely from where the heater bit me last week. It didn't really affect my busy schedule of sleeping so that was good. Mum keeps shooing me away from the heater now but really I think it's learnt its lesson and won't bite me again.

There have been men here all week doing things to my back yard. I hope they are looking after my parsley pot.

It's finally Friday here and if it was going to be a nice day I'd be able to sit out on my balcony like this, but the weather this week has been cold and wet and I am sick of it! I can't even sit in my parsley pot because it's full of mud! I wish summer would come back.

We nearly forgot to do a post today! Can you believe it? That's never happened to me before. Anyway, luckily Khyra shared this award with me (and the other SMS pups) today so we can talk about that. It's Friday the weather has been a tiny bit warmer the last two days - we've actually made it to 20 deg C! But the forecast for the weekend is for colder weather again so I'll be doing a lot of sleeping on the toast couch blanket, maybe even under the toasty couch blanket.
