Two weeks ago, I had a very bad day. I threw up five times in one day and that is a lot for any kitty. I also cried a bit when dad picked me up. Dad was very worried about me (so was mum) so I had to go to the dreaded vet the next day. I peed on the carrier while dad tried to put me in it, so he knows how I feel about that.
The vet weighed me, and I am getting smaller! I only weight 2.95kg which is not very much at all. I also have a dodgy hip (that is the technical term for it) from when I was badly treated as a young cat. The vet says I am starting to get arthritis in my hip as well which makes me feel sick and very sore and tired.
So now I get to eat kitten food, which is the best food ever. I am allowed to eat as much as I want because I am a bit on the skinny side. Teddy is not allowed to eat any of my kitten food, despite his best efforts. I also had a course of Meloxicam on my food, which I didn't really like but it seems to have helped as yesterday I sprinted up and down the hallway all day, having fun. I am feeling much better now.
AND I caught a mouse last week! Well, Teddy caught a mouse and brought it in the house and let it go. At 2am. Mum and dad were much less excited than I was, especially since I caught it all by myself! I wasn't happy when dad took it from me either.
p.s. that photo me is a few months old, I am looking a bit thinner and have more white whiskers these days.
we are sorry you aren't feeling well but are sending purrs that you feel better soon....
Hi Huffle! We're glad you're feeling a bit better now. Good job catching that mousie!!
I was real upset that you weren't feeling good, but your mom kept me posted on everything. Even the mouse! That is so outstanding! Did anyone cheer for you? You know the "HuffleHuffleOhMyHuffle" cheer or anything?
Did your dad sit and give you his paw before he took your mousie?
Huffle, we're sorry to read you've not been feeling well. At least you get to eat kitten food! You're not hyper-thyroid, are you? That could cause weight loss, but of course a lot of things can, including just aging!
Sending you purrs that you continue to feel better--catching that mouse was pawsome! Raw would be good for you, we think your beans ought to let you eat your prey! :-)
Did the vet check your thyroid, Huffle? Our kitty sister had a thyroid issue that made her barf and lose weight. The meds helped a lot!
Bart and Ruby
Huffle, we don't hear much from you any more, but we are all very sorry you were sick. We hope all your meds and that kitty food make you feel much better soon.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Huffle we envy you being able to eat all you want. Good job on the mouse.
I hope you feel better soon Huffle! As we get older, we get creaky. See if your mom will buy you a purse like Bionic Hip, knee, spine Sam has!
Enjoy the food!
Hi there Huffle !
Glad that you are feeling better now and can run around and play and catch mousies again :)
I am sorry to hear that a healthy cat like you got some sickness. I hope it is over now. If you were my cat and caught a mouse in the house, I would buy you some kind of important treat, thats for certain. Maybe when you can eat shrimps again you can remind your Dad of this!
Be well, Huffle, and take it easy,
Stella (and Zkhat says hi!)

I am glad you are feeling better, Huffle - it sounds like you gave your humans reason to worry! Paws up for getting the mouse that Teddy so carelessly let free.
Not fun getting older is it? We get to eat lots of small meals all day and we love being pampered. Hope you feel better.
I'm sorry you've been feeling unwell, Hiffle. but delighted to hear you're eating yummy kitten foods and already felling a bit more spry.
And well done you for your hunting prowess!

hey Huffle Mawson,
I am so sad to read of your health issues, but furry furry happy you are doing much better! Especially running down hallways and catching mice that little brofurs drop!
I am glad that you get to eat kitty food, and as much as you want. I think being able to eat yummy food, and as much as we want of yummy food, totally helps in the healing process. A happy full-tummied cat is a healthy cat! :->
My paws are crossed extra hard for you that you continue on your path to healing. *hugs

I sure am glad you're feeling better Huffle! I was just reading another blog about Glocosemine for arthritis in kitties, maybe it would help your hip... so you could chase Teddy.
You are looking good in that picture, I hope the changes help bring back your vitality. no more yakking!
Oh my Huffle! I will be over toot sweet to snuggle with you, and defend you and your kitten kibble from the Goon. I caught a bird the other day, I'm sure I have some bits left over to bring as well...

Oh H, we are glad you are feeling a bit better. You could have a hundred temptations a night.
Mum got worried last week, as she got home at early oclock and had the traditional cat welcome of two piles of vomit. I was a bit sad all day, but feels better now.
Julie and Poppy Q
Miss Huffle, we are both purring VERY loud for you. Tell that handsome Teddy that he better treat you right or I'll come over and sort him (he won't like that, trust me!)
Huffle, hope you are doing better soon...that kitten food sounds amazing. You'd think your parents would let you eat the mousie...you are trying to gain weight, right?
Aw, we're sorry your not feeling so great. We're purring you feel better soon, and gain some weight with your special yummy foods!
Dearest Huffle, we're so sorry you've been under the weather, but it sounds like you're getting everything you need to make you feel better. And congrats on the mousie! That is MOST impressive!
Hope you're feeling better now huffle! I am getting old too and know how it sucks!
Feel better Huffle! We are sending healing purrs your way!!
Charlie 'n Lucy
Oh Beautiful Huffle! Gettin up there in ages is no fun at all. We hopes your meds will kick that arthur-itis butt!
Kitten fudz, you is one lucky girl!
Ms. Stella O'Houligan
We're sending purrs too, even though you are starting to feel better. At least you get to eat kitten food! Isn't that stuff GREAT? We like it very much too, but mum doesn't feed it to us, even though we ask. (Pandora got some a few times when she was feeling a bit poorly.)
We hope you keep feeling better! And tell Teddy he's not to bring the mousies inside. The beans don't like it. (Icky, says mum.)
Dear Miss Huffle, I am so glad you are feeling better with the kitten food and the meloxicam! Purr-ayers that you continue to feel better!
We are sad to hear you have a bum hip but glad to know you are feeling better. Catching a real mousie always helps, too!
Huffle, that is very SKERRY! We are glad you are feeling better now, though.
Pee Ess: Baby fuds? NOMMY!!! :)
Oh, Huffle, I'm sorry you've been feeling under the weather! Poor girl. Kitten food is pretty great, though.
Sweet Huffle we are glad to hear you are feeling better!!! Keep enjoying that kitten food :-)
sorry to hear you aren't too well, but glad to learn you are being thoroughly cared for and treated (in all ways). Love Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx
That Arthur-itis will put you off your diet. We hopes the pain meds are doing the job and that kitten food wil do its job. We wish you'll soon be completely back to normal.
Lizzie & 3 kitties
Aww, dear Huffle -- we haven't been in touch in an awful long time and we are so sorry to hear you've been through some tough times -- I just threw up this morning big-time. I tend to do that every week or two. This time was really spectacular. Cost Bean at least twenty minutes to clean up. But five times? Oh dear. Well -- you got that mousie. That was pretty fantastic. Given you're not 100%. What can you do when you're 100%? Let's find out soon, OK? --Your friend, Bugs
Yeah you have to watch it when you are not a kitten anymore. We remind Rumpy of that when he bugs on Buddy. Purrs to keep feeling great.
We hope you continue to recover and feel better asap...We are so impressed with your hunting skills, sweetie...We will purr and pray for you, beautiful girl...We love you, darling Huffle...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
We are glad you are feeling better Huffle. We are sending healing purrs for your continued recovery.
We hope yoo are feeling lots better. Today we went to V-E-T for our boosters. She said I had to lose some weight as I am 6.2 kilograms (ahem). Perhaps yoo can have some of my weight I will gladly give yoo some!
Love from Oliver
Hi Huffle, we hope you are feeling better. Don't let Steve and Teddy talk. Steve always tries to find ways to steal my wet cat food and he and Teddy should not be allowed to collaborate.
