Huffle's new job

I got a new job. Mum is always cooing over Dave and his Guide Dog for the Colour Blind gig so I thought I should do something to help mum out.

I am the new DJ in the house of Huffle! Here I am choosing which CDs should be played next.

Unfortunately, mum woke me up when I was having a nap yesterday - as you can see I wasn't too happy about it:
My friend Angus wanted to know what my name means. I have talked about it briefly before but here is the long-winded version. When mum and dad adopted me from the Cat Protection Society, I didn't have a name, just a number. Dad spent a week trying to figure out a name that suited me, and eventually chose Stella (it had to start with "s" because of poo-face Salvador). So my real name is Stella. But eventually, once I had started relaxing after I realised that I was in my fur-ever home and safe, I started exploring. I huff at things I don't understand, or don't like, and mum had been watching the Harry Potter films and started calling me Hufflepuff. That got shortened to Huffle. My second name is Mawson, because I am an explorer cat. Mum calls me nosy. I am just interested in things. Like Mawson the antarctic explorer.

I forgot to say that the spare foot that was growing out of my head has magically disappeared. I think Thor and Marco Polo came over in the middle of the night and chewed it off. I'm glad to be rid of it, it was attracting a lot of unnecessary attention.

I like Huffle better then Stella. I like Huffle better then Shelby though. Glad the extra foot is gone. How did your mom like your choice of Cds?

Momma likes Stella (that would have been the name of our new puppy but we ended up with Brice and he already had a name) but Huffle suits you better.

That was my best Marlon Brando impersonation! Could you tell? I like Stella, but you definately look like a Huffle and a Mawson.

That is a very important job! I see you help out a lot at your house too. How mysterious that that foot out of your head disappeared! Good thing, huh?

Oh, guess what? My big sister Pixie does that huffing thing when she is worried or puzzled about something! It is very funny and cute.

Huffle is a NEAT name. Thanks for sharing the story of your name.

You better be a little more careful which CD you pick and your mom won't wake you up when she plays it. Hee! Hee!

Woo. Congrats on the new job. Do you have any old jazz classics? Or Brazilian jazz? I love music like that. Or bag pipes.

That's a very important job. It looks like some of the CD shelves are kind of high. Maybe if you still had the foot on your head, you could reach the CD's more easily. I like your name. It's very distinguished.

so what kind of music did you choose?

Since my mom is a Harry Potter nerd, she's always wondered if you were named for Hufflepuff. I'm a Slytherin myself.

Thanks for telling us about your name! How so cool - someday MrSippi will have tell his story.
Marco Polo and Thor - We are going to go and beat them up unless you are happy your extra foot is gone and then we will anyway. They are such bad bad boys!

I like your name, Huffle. And that you were named for something particular to YOU! Not just because Salvador's name happened to start with an S...I wonder if your mom could catch you huffing at something so we could see? That would be interesting!
