A Friday Flashback

This is not a flashback to a previous post, but a reminder of how my wonderful parsley pots USED to look. Now the grass is all dead and looks more like hay.

Dad promises to plant some new cat grass for me after the holiday. He better remember to do it!

The summer has not been kind to my cat grass. Mum and dad promised to plant some more when it's not so hot here.

Remembering...

Today I wanted to remember my original and favourite parsley pot.

Parsley Pot activities

I have discovered that the parsley pot is just the right height for accessing tasty cat grass that I can't reach from the ground.

Cat Mint

I have been doing some quality control testing on my cat mint here.

Parsley Pot Renovations

I can't believe I already had to get dad to do some renovations to my parsley pot. Talk about shoddy!

I had dad add some dirt to the top of the pot for me.

I prefer it that way.

The puppy plays...

My puppy decided that he liked the look of my parsley pot and wanted to sit in there too.



So I had the pupparazzi take his picture.

Bodyguarding

To stop the evil birds from sitting in my parsley pot, I have put Bazza to work guarding it:

Jungle Panther

I like to sit here behind these plants (mum does not know what they're called, so don't bother asking her) and survey the world.



From here I can see if any nasty birds are trying to sit in my parsley pot too.

Huffle Mawson proudly presents... the new parsley pot!

Once the parsley pot was planted out, I had to do some quality control testing:


I find it to be very tasty indeed!


I'm so happy with my new parsley pots!


I would like to say the BIGGEST thank you in the whole entire universe to Angus Mhor, who ran such a wonderful campaign to get me a new parsley pot. He created an online petition, had the wonderful folks at Zoolatry create the marvellous graphics that you all put on your blogs, and rallied all the cats on the interwebs to convince my mum and dad to get me a new parsley pot. And it worked!

I would also like to thank every cat, dog, hamster, person, horse and other creature who signed the petition, twittered about it and put the "Re Pot Huffle Mawson" poster on their blog. You are all awesome!

That lady Dooce may have gotten a washing machine fixed, but I got a new parsley pot, and that's way better! The power of the paw!

It's almost done...

It took a lot of cats a lot of hard work. But here we have the beginnings of my new parsley pot setup:

And now, here is what it looks like! I have cat grass, catnip and cat mint in TWO pots and a big pot in the middle especially for me to sit in!

How to get what you want

If you dig in the brand new garden, against mum's wishes:

Waiting...

If I had my new parsley pot already I wouldn't have to lie on the floor, or poke my tongue out at the flashy beast! (mum says the parsley pot is coming, she promises)

Parsley Pot News

I'm sure a lot of you have seen the campaign that Angus Mhor is waging to get me a new parsley pot. I'm very excited about it and I just know that mum will have to get me a new parsley pot after all his hard work. I mean, how could she not?

RIP Parsley Pot

Friends, the sad news has been confirmed. My mum finally confessed up to her crime. My parsley pot is no more.

Please join me in a minute's silence to remember my wonderful parsley pot.

Tasty

I've been out in the back yard, searching everywhere for my parsley pot, but I got distracted by these tasty, I mean pretty, plants.



But I have not given up the search for my parsley pot. It has to be somewhere. As Meeshka said, her human woman and my mum are almost the same person (seriously, it's spooky how alike they are) so there is no way mum has thrown away my parsley pot. I just have to find out where she is hiding it.

Parsley Pot Update

There is no good news so far. I have been looking for my parsley pot for weeks and I can't find it anywhere.This is part of the new planter box in our back yard. Do you think it could make a good substitute for my parsley pot? It's quite big.
