Monday Book Review

A few weeks ago my friend Sparkle emailed me and asked if I would be interested in reading an advance copy of her new book and doing a review. Of course I said yes! So last week my copy arrived.

Dear Sparkle: cat-to-cat advice from the world's foremost feline columnist is a very entertaining and informative read. Cats from all over the world have submitted their problems and Sparkle gives out some very good advice.

Have your humans tortured you mature kitties by bringing home a kitten? Sparkle has the perfect solution. Not happy with the litter provided for you? Sparkle knows what you can do to get it changed.

The book is littered with "Sparkle Says" quotes; these are very informative and will provide cats with many wonderful suggestions to remind their humans that actually, we are in charge.

Monday Book Review

Last week, my copy of Housecat Confidential arrived in the mail, especially pawtographed by Fin herself. As it was raining all weekend, mum and I settled down to read it.

It was so entertaining! My very favourite part was when Fin was participating in Shayla's training. Read the book and you'll know what I mean. My mum cried, she was laughing so hard at that part.

Tuesday Book Review

A while back I was contacted by a man asking if I would read and review his book on my blog. I did read it before the holiday but then ran out of time to talk about it. Better late than never!

In an uncertain world there is one organisation that stands head and small furry shoulders above the rest. Whenever the planet is in danger – be it from giant balls of wool or bands of renegade squirrels – only one group is guaranteed to answer the call.

The International Kittens of Mystery!

This is a journal of their stories. For the first time, cameras have been allowed into one of their top secret training camps – Training Camp Alpha. A camp where, under the supervision of pet humans, recruits are shown not only how to save the world but also how to manage their secret identities – how to blend in and infiltrate the human society that they alone can protect.

If you like a laugh and looking at cute pictures of kittens saving the planet, this is the book for you. It's a short read - about 25 minutes, if you can tear yourself away from the pictures.

I laughed very hard as I was reading this book. It was very entertaining and the kitten pictures are absolutely adorable! I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to have a laugh. Book Review

I had some homework to do this past week. A couple of weeks ago, the lovely people at Allen and Unwin publishers contacted me and asked me if I would be interested in reading a new book about a kitty. I said I would be very keen so this book arrived in the mail last week.
It's the story about a cat called Cleo who adopted a family in New Zealand, weeks after the oldest son was killed in a car accident when he was just nine years old. You can click here to read more about the story.

I had mum read this to me over last weekend and we finished it in less than two days! It was very good and we laughed and cried over the story of Cleo. Mum says she thinks I might have been like her when I was a kitten.

It was a very good book and when it gets released this month you should all try and read it! My mum has given our copy to her sister to read. I hope she likes it as much as we did.

Important reading

My friend Max the Psychokitty wrote a book! It's positively the best book I've ever read. Mine arrived in the mail last weekend and I have made mum read it twice. Dad has read it once so far and has taken it to work to spread the important news in the book around his office. I recommend you get one for your parents to read too (if you click on the book below it will take you to the page to show you how to order it).

I will be giving mum and dad a test this weekend to make sure they have learned all the lessons from the book. I hope they've been paying attention.
