We don't have a scanner at home so mum says she can't show you a childish picture of her. So go ahead mum, tell everyone about yourself.

Okay here's my list of 10 things!

1. I was born in Melbourne Australia and have lived here all my life, but I have travelled to a lot of places.
2. I used to wear glasses and was quite blind but I had laser eye surgery two years ago and now have perfect vision.
3. I work for the Victorian government, in the area of catchment management.
4. I started out my working life as a librarian.
5. I don't have any children - Huffle's dad and I are happy with Huffle and she demands enough of our attention.
6. I am petrified of spiders, and have been known to leave the house if no-one else is home to kill them.
7. I am addicted to buying shoes.
8. My favourite book is Catch 22 by Joseph Heller.
9. Before Huffle, I had never owned a cat, only dogs.
10. Helping Huffle to blog has made me some great friends around the world, some of whom I've been lucky enough to meet in person!

A few days ago, Phantom, Thunder and Dakota tagged me to play the 6th picture game. Then Dakota got sick and we were all thinking of her so I didn't post the game. But today, I think I can do it.

The rules say you have to:

1. Go to photo files....select the 6th folder.

2. Select the 6th photo in that folder.

3. Post the photo along with the story behind it.

4. Tag 6 of our friends to do the same thing.

So here is what I found when I did all that.

This was the photo that mum used for our Christmas card last year. She tied that damn red ribbon on me and chased me around for days to get a good photo. I had great pleasure in shredding it later.

Honestly...

My new friend Dinah gave me the Honest Scrap Award! And so did some more new friends, Ash and Pinky!

Here are the rules:

1. I do not like fish.
2. I have two grey furs. Please do not tell anyone.
3. I have never climbed a tree but I have climbed the fence.
4. I fell off the bed once.
5. I can woof like a puppy.
6. My favourite place to sleep is under the doona between mum and dad.
7. I hide under the bed in the spare room when there is thunder.
8. I take my food out of my bowl and put it on the floor to eat, sometimes.
9. I bare my teeth at dad when he annoys me, but I don't make any noise.
10. I refuse to stand on the red rug in the bedroom because it looks suspicious.

But it wasn't me that got tagged - it was Mum! She was tagged by the Army of Four's mum to play the 40 things about me game. She is a bit hopeless which is why it's taken so long. But I finally got the answers out of her, so here are 40 things you probably didn't need to know about my mum.

1. She was born in Melbourne, Australia, and has lived here ever since.
2. She went to Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University for a degree in Information Management and Library Studies.
3. This means she is really a nerdy librarian.
4. Mum worked as a librarian for six years after uni, but not since then.
5. Mum has had a lot of marketing and event management jobs in her life.
   
6. Mum had never owned a cat before I came along.
7. Mum's first dog, Buffy, was a Standard Poodle mix something, and she used to dress him up in her doll's clothes, and sleep in his bed with him. He never complained about this treatment.
8. Mum has been to Singapore, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, Greece, England, Poland, the USA, Canada, Vanuatu, Fiji, New Caledonia, the Cook Islands, and she is going to New Zealand in March.
   Wait a second, I didn't know anything about this!
9. Mum and dad met on a blind date, and have been together ever since.
10. Mum is a very good cook.
11. Mum does not cook for me; this is not fair as far as I'm concerned.

24. Mum has one sister who is 18 months younger than she is.

28. Mum switched from a PC to a Mac at home last year and thinks it is marvellous. I find it pretty good for my Huffle blogging too.

30. Mum can remember the phone number of every house she's ever lived in. She can't remember what to buy at the supermarket each week though - she needs a list.
31. Mum is not a coffee drinker but dad makes her a coffee in bed every Saturday and Sunday morning and she really appreciates it, and drinks the coffee happily.

These are the sea lions that have taken up residence at Pier 39 in San Francisco. They arrived there after a small earthquake a few years ago, and have never left. The city lets them stay too. If you click on the picture you can see a bigger version.

So this time I cheated a bit. I went to the Huffle folder on the computer, then chose the 6th folder within that, then the 6th picture in that inside folder. Here it is:

I was trying to snoopervise the street but SOMEONE with the flashy beast wouldn't leave me alone. I never get any peace.

Meme

My friend Fin over at Housecat Confidential has started a new meme. Something to show our people that we love and appreciate them. The rules are: you know I hate to follow a rule, so here are the meme "guidelines." Say five (or more) nice things about your staff/family/beans/parents and then tag any pup or cat you like in your blog or no pups or cats, it's your choice, and the Staff can post it whenever they need a little break, no rush.

Mum and dad are great because:

• Mum lets me sit on her lap any time, even when it's not convenient for her, like when she's working from home or something, AND she lets me get under the toasty blanket when it's cold
• Dad always feeds me when I am hungry, and he watches me eat to make sure poo-face Salvador doesn't steal my dinner
• Mum speaks cat, and always knows the difference between when I want to go outside, or when I want to be let out on the balcony, or when I'm telling her the crunchies bowl is empty and dad needs to fill it up
  
• They rescued me from the cat home
• They both move and let me sleep in the middle of the bed, and dad pats me until he falls asleep
• They buy me HAM!

I'm very disappointed to say that the 6th picture folder on our computer is not of Huffle Mawson, but of mum and dad's trip to the Cook Islands last year. This is where they stayed.
It looks very nice but I wasn't allowed to go so I don't think it was that good. Hmph. Okay I don't know who has played and who hasn't so if you haven't played this game, and would like to, please do! Let me know so I can check out your 6th pictures.

8 Random Things Meme

Ernie, Wally and Zoey - the Island Cats - tagged me for the 8 random things meme. The rules are:

1. Each player starts with eight random fact/habits about themselves.
2. Those who are tagged need to write their own blog about their 8 things and post these rules.

Okay... here are my 8 random facts. I'm not sure if I've told you any of these before or not.

1. I can woof just like a puppy. It's because I'm an honorary husky.
2. For a while, I liked to sleep in front of the TV so mum and dad started calling me telly show cat.
3. I love to watch cricket on the telly. I watch the bowler's action and carefully watch the ball in the field. Adam Gilchrist was my favourite player, but he's retired now.
4. If you touch my back paws, I will bite you. Just so you know.
5. I have never gotten up on the dining table. I am a good girl.
6. If there are maltesers in a bowl in our house, I will scoop one out with my paw and play with it. But I won't eat it.
7. I don't like catnip.
8. I have to sleep between mum and dad every night. If there is no room in the middle of the bed, I will stand on dad until someone moves for me.

A letter

A few days ago, my best friend Zimmie sent me a letter. It was the letter H. I am supposed to list ten things I love that begin with the letter H. So here goes...

1. Ham. Of course this is the top of the list. Ham is my favourite snack ever. Everypup and everykitty should be allowed to have ham.
2. Huffle House. This is where I sleep sometimes. I posted about it here recently.
3. Helping. Because I am an honorary husky, I am part working breed. This is me helping mum to make the bed this weekend.
4. Huskies. My best friend Zimmie is a husky. So are his two sisters and brother.
5. Holidays. Recently I did a world tour to visit all my friends. Only, if your mum and dad are going on a holiday for FOUR weeks, that is not good.
6. Holding up the walls. I make it look easy, don't I?
7. Her Royal Highness, Queen Meeshka. She is our leader. And she is leading the fight against the evil squirrels.
   
8. Huffle Duffles. Zimmie's mum makes really cool bags and she named one after me! I am getting a special purple and black one to hold all my mouses.
9. Huffle Mouses. I LOVE to play with my mouses.
10. Home. I love my home with my mum and dad and never want to leave.

I can't think of a way to make MrSippi start with a H but I love him too!

Needs Meme

My friend Sweet Praline tagged me for this earlier in the week, but mum and I had a few issues trying to get a sensible response! Here are the rules:

I think Google thought I meant "shuffle" because we got a lot of those results!

Does the iPod Shuffle need protection? This is a silly question! I don't have an iPod shuffle!
