RIP Parsley Pot

Friends, the sad news has been confirmed. My mum finally confessed up to her crime. My parsley pot is no more.

Please join me in a minute's silence to remember my wonderful parsley pot.

Tagged!

My fluffy friends Inigo Flufflebum and D'Artangan Rumblepurr have tagged me to give seven reasons why I am awesome, and then tag seven others to play. Thanks for saying I am awesome, kitties! I don't think I am, but maybe that's just me.

I am awesome because:
  1. I know when it is bed time in our house and I will stand on the cords from dad's computer so he has to pack up and go to bed.
  2. I get ham as a special snack, and I only like the expensive triple smoked stuff.
  3. I have a brand new backyard with lots of tasty plants in it.
  4. Even though I have my suspicions about my parsley pot, I have not given up the search for it.
  5. I have awesome friends (including the awesomest bestest friend ever, Zimmie!).
  6. I keep the house safe from cicadas.
  7. My dad says I am awesome, so it must be true.
If you are commenting on my blog you must be awesome so you should play this game too!

The cold has come back

Huffle55

Pups and kitties, it is meant to be the end of winter but the cold has come back again! This week we have had very bad storms and lots of wind and rain. So I am going to sit here next to my heater until it gets warmer out there.

Finally Friday!

Huffle54

Pups and kitties, it is already Friday here in Australia and all I can say is thank goodness! I have not found my parsley pot yet, and mum keeps telling me off for eating her new plants. The weather here has been cold and raining and really windy, so I'm hoping for a nice weekend with some sun so I can lie out on the new deck. I hope everypup and kitty has a good Friday!

Tasty

I've been out in the back yard, searching everywhere for my parsley pot, but I got distracted by these tasty, I mean pretty, plants.

Huffle53

But I have not given up the search for my parsley pot. It has to be somewhere. As Meeshka said, her human woman and my mum are almost the same person (seriously, it's spooky how alike they are) so there is no way mum has thrown away my parsley pot. I just have to find out where she is hiding it.

Monday Award

oopsaward

My lovely friend Madi gave me this award on the weekend. It's the Oops I Ate It award and 'when accepting this award you must blog about the food you have stolen when your humans weren't watching. If you have never stolen any food, you must be a very good pup or kitty. You can accept this yummy tray of cookies as your reward!!! Next add the logo of this award to your blog (optional), then nominate at least 5 other furry blogs and let them know by leaving them a message on their blogs."

I have never really stolen any food but I do eat the new plants in the backyard and mum is not happy about that. My late brother poo-face Salvador was very bad though. One night mum and dad had some friends over and they were all in the backyard. Salvador got up on the coffee table and ate a whole chunk of cheese, lots of ham and half a pot of tzatziki dip. He was in big trouble for doing that.

Today I would like all the pups and kitties who have eaten something they shouldn't to share this award, and then share the stories on their own blogs. Make sure you tell me so I can come read them!

Taking over the world

I was recently contacted by a very nice man who is writing a book about his cat. You can read the first part of the book at Vito the Cat but more importantly, Joel has written about me on his website! You can see what he wrote about me here. Please leave him a message and say he did a good job.

I've read the first part of the book and I can't wait to read more!

Purr S: can you believe he didn't know that there are plenty of cats and dogs who have their own blogs?

10 things about my dad

Just before mum and dad went on holidays, my friend Freya tagged me to play the Facts about the People game. Either (1) post 7 facts about yourself AND photos OR (2) post 10 facts about yourself with no photos, OR (3) post a childhood picture of yourself. Mum already played this a little while back so I am making dad answer the hard questions today. Here are 10 not very exciting facts about my dad:
  1. He was born in the country about three hours drive away from Melbourne, and has lived in the city since he was 17.
  2. He is 259 in dog years.
  3. He lived in Mexico for three months when he was a younger puppy.
  4. Dad's favourite game to play with me is Red Dot.
  5. He builds model railways.
  6. Dad eats more ham than I do.
  7. Dad has always owned cats in his life.
  8. He is a computer nerd and plays games on his giant computer at home (mum and I don't let him near our iMac).
  9. He cannot cook to save his life.
  10. Courtesy of Opy and Benson J Puppypaw's dad, he got to drive race cars really fast this year and he was very excited about it.
Here is a picture of dad from his recent holiday with mum to Broome.

Zim, check out the t-shirt he is wearing! If anyone else would like to play this game, please go ahead.

Alone Again

Mum and dad left early this morning for their holiday. I will be alone all week! Grandma and grandpa are coming to look after me every day so I won't starve to death but they don't know how to help me blog so I won't be able to visit you all week. Don't let anything exciting happen!

I'll be back in just over a week.

World Cat Day!

Today is World Cat Day! Take a day to celebrate all things feline. I'll be hanging out on the new deck, chasing one of my mouses, then eating some ham. Make sure you do the same.

Finally Friday!

This is me sitting on the couch underneath my special Huffle blanket that my BFF Tia and her mum sent to me last week. It's very toasty and I think the colour matches my furs perfectly.

Did I do something wrong?

This is terrible news. Mum and dad are going away on holidays and leaving me alone AGAIN! This is the second time this year!

Why are they abandoning me?

On Sunday, they are getting on a plane and going somewhere called "Broome". Why do they have to go? We've got a perfectly good broom here at home.

Do you think they are sick of me asking where my parsley pot is?

Paw it Forward

Look what I got from my dear friend Ginger Jasper all the way in England! I played Paw it Forward with him and my package arrived this week!

There was a wonderful card with a very sweet message for me in it:
And look at this big box of stuff! See the big blue sticker on the side (you can click to biggify) which means the quarantine people opened MY present, and they took out the cat treats! Apparently they contained something that wasn't allowed to come into Australia. Hmpf.

Anyway, look at all the great stuff that they did let me keep! I have several new mouses, a feather boa toy, a cat tent, and a butterfly with catnip in it! So far I have been playing with the Jittery Critter and having a great time. Oh, and there was a little photo frame with a magnet on it that Ginger Jasper said I should have my mum put my picture in. I think that's a great idea.If one or two pups or kitties would like to play paw it forward with me, please let me know in the comments. The idea is you send the recipient a present, just for fun. It doesn't have to be anything expensive, and could be something that represents who you are, or even where you come from.

Thanks again Ginger Jasper, I love all my new presents!

Farewell my friend

Pups and kitties, we have some very sad news to report. Everyone's great friend Charlie the Big Dog has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.

Yesterday he suffered a stroke and then heart failure. He was able at the end to tell his mum and dad that it was time for him to go.

Please go and visit his blog to give some support to Greg, Brooke and Opy. Greg is the man behind Dogs with Blogs and Cats with Blogs. He and his family could use our support right now.

Run free sweet Charlie.

Back yard update

As part of the new deck in my back yard, there is a bench seat built in around the planter box I showed you yesterday. It smells a bit suspicious to me.
