Friday stuff

Today it's housekeeping day.  A lot has changed in blog land in the past few months, we've lost some dear friends but gained some new ones.  So it's time to update my friends list.

Please have a look at the page, and make sure your blog is listed there.  If it's not, tell me and I will fix it right up.  If you happen to notice a link to someone who is no longer blogging, please let me know.  Of course I'll be going through the list myself as well.

Helping around the house part 2

Here's a tip I learned from my best friend Zim. When mum is making the bed, she REALLY appreciates it if you offer to help. I said I would hold the doona (duvet, quilt, comforter) down for her while she put clean sheets on the bed. Mum said she didn't know what she would do without me so I must have been a big help! And the rumours about a Huffle-sized cave in the doona later are completely false!

Busy Sunday

It's the first day of winter here in Australia. To celebrate, it's 11degC outside (about 51F for those kitties and pups who don't understand celsius) which means this explorer cat is NOT going outside as it's too chilly for my paws.

I have been helping mum inside though. Here I am making sure she can't change the channel on the telly (the remote sensor thingy is behind me) because I am watching a Kylie Minogue special:
Here I am helping dad to fix the phone line problem we've been having:
And here I am making sure no-one goes upstairs without my permission. I take my sentry duties very seriously:
A busy day so far! Am I doing a good job Zimmie?

Purrr S: another coffee in bed passed without incident today.

Purrr Purrr S: my paws are crossed for Charlie. We live in the same city as Charlie and Opy (and Greg and Brooke) so I am going to ask mum if we can go visit them.

Weekend duties

It's Saturday so I have been helping mum with the washing. I usually supervise her doing the housework like that. We have cleaners who do the hoovering and washing the floors and bathrooms etc but mum still has to do the washing. I make sure she hangs the clothes on the line properly. Sometimes I supervise dad doing the dishes at night too. You can never assume these humans will get it all right.

Mum had her coffee in bed this morning and nothing was spilt; she didn't find any Huffle hairs in her cup either. I am such a good cat!
