Disaster of EPIC proportions

At the moment, dad is working on stripping our back deck. He uses paint stripper and usually I am not allowed outside to help him.

Last Saturday, he did not realise I was already outside when he went out to strip the next section, and had just coated the deck with paint stripper when I made a break for it and sprinted into the house. Well, I tried to run really fast but as you can see I got into a bit of trouble.

Huffle 101

Dad chased me into the house and made mum hold me really tight and I have to have a BATH! I yelled the whole time. Dad said he had to get all the paint stripper off my paws and tail, and my pantaloons, so that my skin didn't get burned, and so I didn't lick my paws and get sick.

I tell you pups and kitties, I was not happy. Lucky I have my new toasty heated bed to make me feel better.

Oh Huffle that is just awful! We are glad that you are ok, and normally we are extremely anti-bath, but well, this time we 100% agree with him. We know that stuff could have hurt you a lot, so we are glad that they got you to the bath right away!! We hope this doesn't happen again though - another bath would be awful!

Poor Huffle! Your dad should be more observant, shouldn't he?

Glad he got all of that stuff off of you so you wouldn't get sick.

Yikes Huffle that could have been bad news for you! I'm sure the bath was horrible, but really they did it because they love you :-)

Hope they got the nasty stuff all off!!!

Yikes! That was not a good idea Huffle. A bath was definitely better than burnt pads and a sick tummy.

That sounds horrid, Huffle! We are glad your dad and mum got all of it off of you before anything bad happened.

Oh Huffle! We are sure glad you are OK. That is the only way we can condone a bath...to get something that nasty off of you. We think you should be able to sleep off this terrible experience in 16.7 naps in your new toaster bed.

Oh, Huffle, it's good your dad was alert and thinking, even though it did mean a bath. It could have been worse.

What an awful ordeal! Binga once had to have a bath because she dashed out onto a deck that was being tarred - and she had to wear a cone for a day. So it could have been worse. At least it is over.

Oh dear, Huffle! Your Mom and Dad must have been very askeered seeing that stripper stuff on you and then having all the horrible stuff that might have happened flash through their minds... but most especially they must have been askeered for their own safety while bathing a wet Huffle! Yeowie!

Uhoh! A bath isn't fun, but that paint stripper could be pretty toxic dope, so it's good that they caught you before you licked it off yourself.

Gigi said...

OMG, Huffle!! The Human says she has never given a kitty a baff because we usually do such a good job of it ourselves, BUT!! this time it was 100% necessary. She has used that stripper stuff and it HURTS & BURNS sooooo bad to get it on your skin. She can't even IMAGINE what would happen if a kitty licked it!! So, you might not have enjoyed your baff, but sometimes a kitty's gotta endure what a kitty's gotta endure!

CCL Wendy said...

O noes! Say it isn't so, Huffle! You went for a big slippy slidey, did you?

I imagine the bath afterwards was much worse, though. Just try to put it out of your mind now that it's over. I hope you don't have any nightmares.

OMC!

That does sound disastrous!

I am not fortunate enough to have seen a kitty be bathed but i hear it is a very traumatic and vocal experience.
