Mum cannot understand why I like to sit up here on the fence and watch the world go by. There is not much to see, only the neighbour's back yard. But she doesn't understand that this is where the birds are, and by sitting up here I am much closer to catching one.
(I have never even come close to catching one of those annoying birds. Can anydog or anycat help me please?)

Oh, Huffs! You need to come hang out with Stormy! She ... um ... well, let's just say ... you know the birds called "Swallows"? I better not say anything more. I think you see where I'm going with this, though.
Play bows,
Zim
Great photo of you, Huffle!
We wish we could help you, but all we catch are bugs. None of us has ever caught a bird, at least not since pre-shelter days. And our human doesn't know about those!
Huffle we totally understand about being closer to the birds. Sadly, we can't really give you any suggestions for getting one - the closest we get it seeing them through the windows since we are indoor only cats.
The only birds we've ever caught were ones that came in our fireplace.
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids
Huffle, if you figure out a way to get one of those birdies, let us know, 'cuz we've never gotten on either!
Oh man Huffle you gotta get one of those. I got really lucky one day and one was just sitting outside of my door...mom didnt notcie it till i was out, my neighbor says it probably hit the sliding glass and knocked out...maybe you'll get lucky too other than that quiet, quickness is how i get my chipmunks!
Beautiful Huffle, we think you might want to take lessons from Eric and Flynn, they are mighty hunters!!...And they're handsome boys too!!...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
Better not let Mum know your strategy or she may not let out on the balcony.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Line up some cat biscuits, step back, and POUNCE when the birds come to get them
You probably have to get off the balcony you know, Huffle...and actually into that neighbour's garden...see where this is going?
Hey Huffle,
Better be careful what y'all wish for. There are a pair of Bald Eagles living by our lake that are bigger than Alex and Boru put together and they could probably take Jenny and Gracie for a flight.
Patti Whackit caught a big Gypsy Moth the other night and brought it into the house in her mouth but it was still alive and she let it go. It was flying all around and the cats were going nut-so. it was BOL funny, well mom and dad didn't think so. Have your mom buy a bird feeder and sit real still on it so the dumb birds think you're part of the feeder. In fact, sprinkle some of the bird seed on your tongue and sit real still with your mouth wide open. perhaps one will fly your mouth to get some seed and then, well we're sure you get the picture.

Ferris escaped out the door into the fenced in backyard one day and caught his first bird. Mom was not impressed. Dad buried the poor fevver.
My kitty Scarlett caught a bird once. It was young and not very good at flying yet - perhaps you could try for one of those? However, I recommend making sure it's really kaput before you bring it to your humans. Scarlett's bird was only stunned and it gave me quite a fright!
Huffle, we have caught some birdies. Actually, we'll admit it was more luck than skill! And plucking the feathers...well, Fancy Feast is WAY easier.
Hi, Huffle!
I wish I could give you some good advice but I have had not luck either!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
I wish I could help you Huffle, but I am not even allowed to go outside, so the closest I get a birdie is looking at one through the dining room window.
Sorry, Huffle, we are of no helps. We have never caught any birds either. If you get any good infos here, let us know.

Miss Natasha just sits and watches the birds flit back and forth and when they are suddenly swooping just close enough - snatch. Not exactly stalking, but effective.
I know it's cause you're looking for me, your bootiful white whisker blowing in the wind...
Huffle, whenever I see a bird I like to cackle at it like this: Kehkehkehkehkehkeh! I think that helps.
Perhaps your Mom can buy you some bird flavored cat food?
Huffle, I try to catch them myself and it's a disaster everytime. They mock me and sit up high on the fence tweeting at me. I run and they fly off and I run right into the fence head on. It is embarrassing! Lots of love, Holly
What a gorgeous photo of woo, Huffle. Hm, now if woo wanted advice on catching moles....
jack a-rooter & miss moo
What a fierce look of concentration, Huffle!
Well, we caught a bird once but we promised not to tell how we did it (#1 was NOT happy!). As for the boys, they do mice. So boy-like!

We caught a bird once but I think it was on accident. . . it was a very dumb bird. Try ignoring them, like pretend you're asleep and they'll get bolder and come closer.
You're not missing much by not catching birdies. We think they are highly overrated!
We're sorry, we can't help you out with this one - a big invisible window keeps us from getting close to ANY birds... *sigh*
Have a great day!!

Huffle! The trick is to be on ground level and pounce when they are unaware!
Let me know how it goes.
Peace out,
Oscar x
Dear Huffle, you are very beautiful! I bet people enjoy passing by your balcony and seeing you!
I think you need to sneak up on them, says Tofu. But then again, don't listen to him - he's never caught any either!
