October:
Parsley Pot 03

January:
Dead Parsley Pot

The summer has not been kind to my cat grass. Mum and dad promised to plant some more when it's not so hot here.

Ooops, no, that doesn't look good. We complain so much about our cold weather, but a too-hot climate has its own problems.

Be careful you don't get heat stroke, Huffle!

I don't know much about garden stuff, Huffs, but that's not looking so good.

Oh my, the cat grass looks dead. We should ask the weather gods to send some of our rain your way.

Huffle, are you holding back on us - do you really have a pup there who likes to lift his leg on your parsley pot?

Why's it called a parsley pot?

That doesn't look good at all....

D.K. Wall said...

Is that all from heat, or is any of it cause by a certain feline sleeping on it? Just asking.

I would suggest catnip but they'll kill that too. Ask for the dried stuff. BOL

Disappointing....

However, there is always something that doesn't survive the summer, whether it be kitty grass, or my 2nd squeaky santa....

Good times!!

Your pal, Koda

Ouch! Looks like someone forgot to water your grass.

I thought you didn't want growing things in your pot except a smidge of parsley. That sounds good, doesn't it.

Tell your Dad to forget the Cat grass and plant parsley. Its useful, good to chew on, decorate your plates with it.

Kisses,
Stella

hey Huffle Mawson,

Sorry to see your parsley plant turned into a hot mess. A dead plant is not a fun plant.

Didn't they water it? We hope you get some more soon!

Wow look at that - the parsley has been scorched BBQ-style in the sun!

Poppy Q said...

Wow, that sun sure is hot.

Our plants (that you can see) look like that -- not from the heat but they are FROZE!

Mmm, I guess dehydration only works as a preservative on fruits and vegetables ...

Nothing lasts at our house either, but it's usually a combination of being peed on (Steve), eaten (Wilbur), and dug (Kat).
