I am sitting just inside the door to my balcony, which opens off mum and dad's bedroom.

See the red rug behind me? I do Not Like red things, and I refuse to sit or walk on that red rug. Mum bought it because it matches my red chair, but I don't sit on the red chair either because I do Not Like red things.

When is she going to learn?

Sunning on Saturday

Last week wasn't that hot so I have had to spend a lot of time inside.  This weekend we have some warm weather so I'm out soaking up as much sun as possible.

If anyone wants to come over and join me, please feel free!

Thursday on the balcony

I haven't been out on the balcony that much lately.  So today I'm out here waving at the neighbours, checking up on the street. 

I think dad might need to clean my balcony again.

Recovering

It was a busy time over Christmas and new year here.  I have had to take a lot of naps to recover:

Remember earlier this week I mentioned the special snack I got on new year's eve? Well, it was my very favourite snack in the whole entire world: prawns! I got one two THREE of my very own prawns to eat all by myself!

And then I got TWO more prawns the next day for dinner.

I wish new year would happen more often.

Happy new year to all my wonderful friends and welcome to 2011!  I hope you all stayed safe and away from the fireworks last night.

I wish you all marvellous things for 2011, and I wish that all the pups and kitties in the world could find a good home.

Ten

It is a very big day in Huffle Mawson land.  Today I am Ten years old!

Please help me celebrate being ten.  It is a very good age, I think.  My best friend Zimmie turned 10 earlier this year and he said it was pretty good.  Also: today is my 5th gotcha day with mum and dad!  Yep, it's five years since they convinced me to come and live with them.

They do pretty good, for adopted parents.

Merry Christmas!

I would like to wish all of my wonderful friends a very happy Christmas!  Spare a thought for all the pups and kitties who don't have a wonderful home like we all do; maybe you can get a new brother or sister after the new year!  I hope you all get some great presents too, like some ham or chicken.

As you can tell, there was no way I was posing for mum in a santa hat so she had to use the magic of photoshop for my card this year.

Please come back on December 28 and help me celebrate my birthday; it's a big number this year!

Thursday on the balcony

I have not been out on the balcony for more than two weeks because it rained a lot in the week before mum and dad went away and then they were gone for 12 days.  Finally I am allowed out there again and I will have to look closely at the neighbours to see what has changed in my absence.

Tuesday Telling

So mum and dad have been home for four whole days now and I have still not seen a single present for Huffle.  Also: mum wrapped all the Christmas presents on the weekend and I did not see a single thing with my name on it.  Do you think I have been a very bad kitty this year and I'm not getting any presents?

Mum and dad arrived home this morning, and I am very happy to have them back.

But I'm giving them the back of disrespect for leaving me alone again. This is not good enough.

There better be presents for Huffle. Just saying.

Alone again... naturally

Mum and dad left on their holiday this morning.  My grandma and grandpa are coming to look after me, so I hopefully won't die of starvation or anything.  Actually grandma is pretty good about giving me ham so that's good.

I hope nothing exciting happens while I'm being abandoned; I won't be able to visit for a couple of weeks.

Huffle the Mighty Hunter

The other day, I was sitting in my Huffle bed when I heard some buzzing. Of course I had to investigate immediately. It was coming from behind the couch.

It was an enormous dragonfly!

Well, it took me about five hours and two naps and a break for dinner, but I finally caught it! I chased it around for ages and played and whapped and generally had a great time:

And then it went deaded and because I had eaten my dinner so recently and then got all over excited chasing the dragonfly, I vomited.

What a great day.
