Oh my gosh that is hilarious!!! It is amazing how one finds out the previously unknown ways that cat limbs can move when a harness gets worn for the first time.
But if you really want Teddy to wear it, you need to just put the harness on while he's indoors, till he gets used to it (for however many days or weeks that takes). Then add the leash and let him drag it around the house until he's used to that. Then take him outside!
Of course, our mom wouldn't have the patience for all of that, which might be why we've never worn a harness. :-P
So much for the 'puppy dorg' look. It don't work no all da kittykitties.
Maybe it was the purkle color? I know I would not like to be seen pulling a Bean down the street while wearing a bunch of purkle straps and ropes. Ah, the shame of it all.
Many cats do not rake kindly to the traditional harness design. Perhaps your parents should try a Puppia harness, Teddy? That is what we use and we find them very comfortable!
Sorry but I am really laughing! This post of Teddy so reminded me of teaching Milo and Alfie to use a harness & leash. They rolled around the floor like they had forgotten how to walk ~ but eventually (with perseverance) they took to it.
Oh My Dawg! Those photos of Teddy are SO funny! The first one especially! The look on Teddy's face speaks volumes! Teddy put up a good fight! Glad to see he won. :->
Teddy - good job informing your beans that cats will not be harnessed in any manner whatsoever. So embarrassing to see kitties harnessed and being walked on a leash!

It sure didn't! Maybe it was the color? Not manly enough?
That is so funny I just loved seeing those photo's and it looks like the harness is still redundant.. Hugs GJ xx

Teddy, in my opinion harnesses are evil things. Huffle, now you and Teddy agree on something.
I think it is hard to misinterpret your feelings on the Huffle harness...

Never went well when mom tried it on her kitties either. I don't think cats were meant to be led around on a leash. Just sayin.

Oh dear Cod! The Human actually tried to put one of those on me once (ME! AS IF!!!)
You go, Teddy.

PS: it took weeks!
BAH!! The caption to the alligator roll pic should be "IT BURNS!!"" Poor Teddy...the price you have to pay for the comforts of home.
Yup, that is what would happen at our house too.
Uh, Huffle, get control of your blog! Every time I come by, it is Teddy on your blog!

Go Teddy, Go Teddy!!! You better sharpen your claws in case the folks try that again.
Hahahaha! That's usually the first reaction to a harness. Just keep on trying, Teddy, and you'll get used to it.

That right there, that RIGHT there is grounds for instant human slave dismissal. I shall give your the card for my lawyer.

Maybe they should have tried a 'Teddy Tether', hahameow. Teri says this it her favorite harness and we agree, it's furry comfortable.
