Today I am wondering if dad is ever going to finish stripping the deck. I have heard mum say that when it is finished, she is going to be buy me a nice chair with cushions to sit on so I can be comfortable when I am outside on the deck. The sooner the better, I say.

That's the lamest excuse I've ever heard of! Why does your human woman HAVE to wait until the deck is stripped and painted? Its not like she can't break a sweat and move the chair when work needs to be done. I would poo in her shoes and claw her and tell you to get off her butt and get you a chair!!!

You need to snoopervise him more and keep him hard at work. Our dad was going to build mum a new patio and that was four years ago. She is still waiting.

Hey, Huffle, since you first posted about your Dad stripping the deck, my deck has been powerwashed and restained, 2 coats, upper and lower levels! Your Dad is slacking!
At least once it is done, you have summer ahead. My deck is really nice, but it is getting colder, and we have so many haycorns bombing down on it, that it is hardly safe for me to be out there.
Enjoy it, stripped, or not stripped, just enjoy the sunshine.

You definitely need your very own chair--maybe with a red cushion to set off your beautiful furs? Maybe it will be a Director's Chair, because, really, isn't that what you should be out there?
Also, yes, I completely agree it is not respectful at all when our Humans just take off and LEAVE US! My Human did that quite a lot a few months ago and I do not approve. Fritzie's People came home today (and about time too!) so the Human is now free to put all her attention onto ME, where it belongs.

My parentals just got a 3 seater swinging seat for outdoors. I've claimed it as my own.... except for when it swings too much in the wind and I feel sea sick.
