FINALLY summer is on the way and I am getting some good sunshines here. I have spent most of the weekend out on the deck, and I plan to do that a whole lot more today.
Mum found some caterpillars eating her lemon tree the other day so she knocked them on to the ground and I had a good time playing with them. But when I came back out this morning they were gone. Does anyone know where they went?

We didn't get many lemons on our tree this year, but we are gonna have a TON of oranges!
Maybe the caterpillars magically turned into butterflies overnight? Or maybe they are in caterpillar/butterfly "heaven?"

Your sunshine looks lovely. We were forecast an Indian summer for this weekend. Well, the sun did shine a bit but we are having storm force winds and they are blowing all the leaves off the trees, and some branches too.

We don't know much about caterpillars, Huffle, but we do know that you look like you are really enjoying that sun with the nice cast of shade from the tree.

They went to become butterflys. I am almost sure of this.
They crawl up a branch and make a coocoon and sleep in it until they get their wings. Then they can fly away from kitties like you!

I wonder if your People ate those caterpillars? Sometimes the Humans are surprisongly omnivorous. I heard my Human say they serve SNAILS in restaurants! As if!

Huffle, we didn't think the summer was ever going to leave us and come to you. It was 90 degrees here yesterday!! But we think it's leaving now, hopefully for a few months. As for the caterpillars.... did YOU eat them up all gone?
