Some of you who follow me on Twitter already know this story but I thought I'd share it with every pup and kitty today.
The other night I was sitting on the couch next to my heater, as I usually do in the evenings. I decided to give myself a bath, as I'd been out rolling around on the deck earlier in the day. Mum was sitting at our iMac and dad was at his computer, Zim.
There was a big CRASH and mum and dad looked all around to see what happened. They couldn't see anything wrong but then mum noticed that the heater had moved. Then I jumped up at her and meowed for sympathy.
I fell off the couch! And crashed into the heater on my way down! It was Not Fun.
Mum picked me up and soothed me but I was not very happy about this event. From now on, all baths will be taken on the floor where I can't fall anywhere.
Don't forget you can still comment on my 500 post to raise money for the Cat Protection Society! You have until midnight Sunday to make a comment (one comment per cat or dog please; humans are allowed too :), tell your friends!)
And finally, thank you all for your kind words about MrSippi. I know his family appreciates them and I do too.

It's so embarassing when something like that happens isn't it.
We were very sad to hear about Mr.Sippi and have offered our condolences to his family. We send you our comforting purrs too.
Huffle,
I can't believe that you would admit this to the whole wide world!!!! I mean, you obviously MEANT to do it, right? Of course you did. I'm sure that you just wanted to see what it would feel like to touch the heater while you were moving really fast at the same time. I understand.

Oh no! Yoor okay right? No burns, bruises or sprains? Dat can be furry scary...
Ouchie - hope you didn't get too close to the heater and get burned. Maybe you need to get Mum to put a pillow on the floor in front of the sofa where you bathe.
woos, the OP Pack
You are made of strong stuff, Huff.
I have never known one cat to take a fall and admit it was a mistake!
Glad you are OK. You ARE OK, aren't you?
Only Stella has commented for the 500 post blog so now Mom and Ali Z are gonna do it too.
Kisses,
Stella
Somehow, we thought cats were graceful and always landed on their feet and all of that. Somehow, our myths are being shattered.
P.S. - We are actually used to hearing Rusty fall off the couch, bed, whatever. He rolls over in his sleep and disappears. Just gets up, shakes himself off, and acts like nothing happened.
We're glad you didn't get hurt when you fell on the heater. Hopefully that never happens again.
I think that heater is out to get you.
You poor kitty - I can't imagine how painful that must have been and sympathize so much - licks to you. And we are very sorry to hear about Mr.Sippi. We send hugs to his family and to you, Huffle.
Hugs and Licks xo
Ozzie (and Sammie too)
You come sleep near our heater, we'll keep you safe!!!
Poor sweet Huffle! We hope you didn't burn yourself. We know that you are probably not yourself after the unexpected loss of your dear Mr Sippi. Take care and know that we love you.
Ouch! I hope you didn't burn yourself. I agree that baths are best taken on the floor.
Ut-oh! I sure hope you didn't hurt yourself.
Ouchie! It's very game of you to admit to your fall!
We are so sorry to hear about MrSippi, Huffle.
Now, do please be caredul when taking your baths. The middle of a large bed is one very good place we would like to recommend.
Ah yes. Bathing only on ground. We always say that too, after a fall out of the tree. And we always forget.
We know you meant to do that! Watch out for that vishus heater!

Huffle, in the interest of full-disclosure we must report that yesterday both Whitey and Grayson did something similar.
Whitey was on his Red Throne and went off the back of Mom's desk.
Grayson was napping on the bed and rolled off the edge.
There. We've said it and feel much better now.
I've done that - it is awful!!!
Aw, Huffle...that hadta be kinda embarrassing for you...I've fallen off the counter before...not good for a kitty's image....
Ernie
Huffle what a terrible fall and I know you must have been slightly embarrassed too. Oh dear..me thankfully only mum and dad were there to witneesthe fall from grace.
:-) Madi and Mom
Yikes! Who knew that bathing could be so perilous?!?
I KNEW baths were evil! I guess cat-baths are, too! Are you OK, Huffle!!??!
Love,
Ammy
PS: Zim says, "Ha roo."
It musta been LOUD 'cos we heard it in England too! Poor yoo.
Oh Huffle...we hope you are okay and didn't burn yourself!
Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew
Huffle, you take extra care!! Hope you didn't hurtie your furs.
I thought for a minute you were going to say you burned your lovely furs. I'm glad all that was damaged was your pride.
Hey there Huffle
He-he-he-he. Poor you. Such indignity! Were you day-dreaming?
Lots of licks
