Mum kept rubbing and rubbing and wouldn't stop so I had to bite her! But then I licked her to say I was sorry for putting the bitey on her.
She still lets me sit on her lap so it's okay.
Mum's note: Huffle has had issues with anyone touching her belly since the day we brought her home. I must have been rubbing her belly without realising, and she probably tolerated it for a few minutes until she couldn't take it any more. She did bite me but then licked me straight away to apologise.

That's a very polite way to give the bitey. I've always hated having my belly rubbed too... but I'm usually not so polite about it.
Yeah, you were so justified in the bite. the claw is more dramatic, but if the human just doesn't get a clue, then you have to use your tools.
I'm glad to see that your human takes full responsibility for that as she should, and that my Attorney at Claw resources are not needed.

Oh, Huffle. You don't know what you are missing by having your belly rubbed by your Mom. I had to hiss at my Mom last night when she was working on a mat on my belly.
i like my belly rubbed. my sister freya doesn't though and tends to launch into attack mode when mommy or daddy do it. mommy has scars all over her hands and arms from rubbing freya's tummy "accidentally on purpose".
i also lick after i bite. i find that it minimizes the offense.
I think your mom should have known you did not want your belly rubbed....so you are justified. I like all my parts rubbed.
