What happened on the weekend

On Friday night I was outside hanging out in my parsley pot when something started chirping at me. It was a cicada! Under my pot! And it was yelling at me!

These are cicadas. They are very noisy.

I ran inside to get dad to help me get at the cicada but I don't think he understood what I wanted. He kept asking me what was wrong but he didn't come outside to help me. So I went back out and yelled at the cicada a bit more but it didn't go away.

I went back inside and told dad to come out and help me (again) but he just sat there. Eventually mum said she thought I wanted dad to come outside with me so he finally did. He got the cicada out from under my parsley pot and I killed it, because I am Huffle the Mighty Hunter!

Then I could sit in my parsley pot in peace.

Every part of this story is true except the bit where I killed the cicada. Dad did that.

  6. Huffle,

I'm sure the only reason you didn't kill the noisy critter yourself was because you commanded your Dad to do it for you.. I mean why do menial tasks when you have slaves that can do them for you??

yup.. thats it.. its all good!

If that thing had invaded my parsley pot I would have commanded Mum to torture and kill it immediatley.. nit that I have a parsley pot .. but you get the picture!!

  8. Be careful Huffle. DOn't eat to many of those things. I once heard of a Rottweiler eating a bunch when they were alive and then hracked a bunch of living cicadas. Could you imagine having those things crawling around in your tum-tum?

    Yucko!

  11. Good job, Huffle! These insects need to know who is boss and there is no better way to teach them than having them for dinner. Not over for dinner.

  16. Cicadas are a big nuisance! We have not met one, but we can tell how bad they are because of the way our mum went 'grrrr' when she saw the photo.

We are pleased to hear your dad was able to help you put an end to the noisy menace.

  17. Cicadas don't sound like a fun thing to find in your spot. Thank goodness your Mum told your Dad to investigate.

  24. Hey Huffle,
The mighty hunter Boru would have killed it for you. Brusey is a great hunter. Him and Jenny get any flying thing that ventures into the house.
