Happy Halloween!

Finally Friday

It's finally getting warmer here - summer is coming soon - and I can spend lots of time out on my balcony snoozervising the street. New people have moved in across the road so I have to watch them to find out if they are kitty friendly people or not. You never know! I haven't seen any sign of a dog yet; maybe they don't have any pets.

Mum is having a four day weekend this weekend because Tuesday is a public holiday here, so she has taken Monday off work too! Four days of sleeping in and reading our emails on the MacBook in bed every day!

Life is good. Happy Friday everypup and everykitty and everyperson.

See that pale green thing I am standing next to? That is something to do with our new water tank (which is the darker green thing behind me) but mum and dad don't know what it is or how it works! I need smarter parents.

Sorry about the funny purple colour in this photo. Mum did something weird with the exposure, decided she liked it, and refused to fix it for my blog. Worse: there are more photos with this odd colour!

Vocabulary

My friend Percy the black cat (go and visit - he's very cool) said the other day when I had one of my balcony photos up that I looked like I was doing a good job of snoozing and snoopervising. Which made me think of a new word: snoozervising! It's where you snoopervise something, but with little catnaps in the middle. Isn't it a great word?

How do I get Oxford to put it in their dictionary?

Wood

It's so nice sitting out on the deck. The wood soaks up all the sun and gets nice and toasty. Then you can lean against it, like this.

Parsley Pot Renovations

I can't believe I already had to get dad to do some renovations to my parsley pot. Talk about shoddy!

I had dad add some dirt to the top of the pot for me.

I prefer it that way.

I really like my new deck.

There is this very good bench seat in front of the flower bed which gives me excellent access to all the tasty plants in there.

Although, you shouldn't tell my mum and dad about that.

My whisker

Can you all see my white whisker in this photo? Mum says I have had it for a long time now, since March this year she thinks, and it's still not going anywhere!

I don't think it's too bad but it shows I'm not a spring kitten any more. I hope you don't like me less because of my one white whisker.

Maybe I should dye it black?

A small favour please

Dear friends, I don't know if you know my very good friend Cap'n Maverick the Pirate. This is him in his pirate garb.
He is in a Halloween costume contest and needs our help. If you could all please go and vote for him (you are only allowed to vote once) between now and the end of October, I'd really appreciate it. The good Cap'n has promised to donate some of his winnings to dog and cat rescue, if he gets the votes in. So please help Cap'n Maverick, and help other dogs and kitties who need it!

Outsmarting the pupparazzi

I was sitting nicely looking at the camera, then when mum pressed the button I turned my head away.

My puppy decided that he liked the look of my parsley pot and wanted to sit in there too.



So I had the pupparazzi take his picture.

And so here I am hanging out on my balcony for a change.



I like it up here - I can see the whole street and over the weekend I watched the neighbours moving out! It was very exciting, there were people and there was a truck and there was so much going on that I had to snoopervise!

I told him he wasn't allowed to get his paws dirty by sitting in my garden bed with me, because then mum would tell us off for bringing dirt in the house.

If poo-face Salvador was still alive, we could just blame him. He wasn't scared of getting in trouble from mum.

I was just sitting there, minding my own business, thinking about digging in the new garden which apparently I'm not allowed to do, when those evil birds from last week started laughing at me again. I'm really going to have to do something about them.

Sitting on Saturday

Over there on the other side of that fence, there are three trees. They shed their leaves and nasty little shell things into my new garden and I don't like it. One even fell on my head once! But more importantly, there are nasty birds that sit in that tree and laugh at me.

One day I'll get them, and they'll be sorry.

Finally Friday

This is my new trick to stop the pupparazzi taking photos of me. When I see the flashy beast come out, I run toward the camera so any photo is out of focus. It sort of worked here; I need to practise a bit more I think.

I like to sit here behind these plants (mum does not know what they're called, so don't bother asking her) and survey the world.



From here I can see if any nasty birds are trying to sit in my parsley pot too.
