Trouble

For the past few nights, mum and dad have been putting the toasty couch blankets on the bed, because it's been cold (it is nearly winter, after all) and I don't think they had properly adjusted their body temperatures after coming home from Russia.

I love it because I had my very own toasty blanket on the bed - the one that Mrs Shelli made especially for me with my name on it - and dad put it right in the middle of the bed so I was extra toasty at night, tucked up between mum and dad.

But now... today mum put the other doona (duvet, comforter) on the bed, which is thicker than the other one, so she says we don't need the toasty couch blankets on the bed any more.

Huffle 02
(see on the label it says wool filling - the other one is just cotton)

Where am I going to sleep now???

  1. Do what I do, sleep on their pillows so they can't! It usually works... they usually pull out the blankie YOU want eventually just so they can sleep. Give it a try.

  2. Huffle,
You obviously need a heating pad, or three or four, strategically placed for your toastiness.

  3. Well, along the lines of Lynx's comment, we tend to walk all over our human during the night, like on her full bladder or on her face (that's Derry), or claw her nose to get attention. In your case, you could try something like that--and keep pestering...uh, asking--them for your blankie until you get it back!

  4. Can't you still have your special blankie, Huffle? If not, then just sit on Mum or Dad's head - we think they will get the message.

  5. Oh no! Do we need to start another petition to get your proper sleeping arrangements back? Cuz we totally would help with that.

  6. Now why wouldn't they think you need your toasty couch blankets?? That's just being selfish!!

  7. Meeshka!!!! Huffle needs your help again! How about a small sheepskin cozy blankie, something smaller and really fuzzy?

  14. Hi Huffle, nice to meet you!

Yes, sit on your mom and dad's face or the 'pillow' trick might work too..
Sometimes, it is just so hard for simple-minded human to understand us, the complicated, yet comprehensive thinking creative creatures - cats, of course.

  19. I think sitting on their head seems to be a popular option. make sure they can still breath though! otherwise you won't get any breakfast!

  20. That is SO inconsiderate of them! They are thinking only of their own comfort. Clearly you need your own toasty couch blanket, no matter what the humans have.

  21. Hi, Huffle!
I guess you need to have a talk with them about that!

  22. Huffle, you look like you are in a bit of a snit. Time to have a serious talk with your humans.

  23. Isn't that a violation of your contract? You should go on strike.

  24. Huffle, that's just not right. We think you will find at least one good suggestion in the comments already left. Good luck!

  25. Come on Huffle! Black cat fur on a white blanket? You'll have your Huffle bed back in no time, you know what to do!

  26. Surely your mom has to put your special blankie where you can lie down on it.

  27. You do look quite alarmed there... They can't get you maybe a small heated cat bed? That seems like a good compromise to me!

  28. hey Huffle Mawson,

Can you sneak under the covers of your mum and dad's bed? I bet it is super toasty underneath all the blankets! Or, how about cozying up with Cosi? Two furry warm bodies would be toasty, no? :->

  29. Maybe your mom could fold up your blanket and put it just in your spot of the bed.

  31. Maybe you can sneak a couch blanket on after they are asleep?

  32. Once it gets cld enough for a comforter with wool filling, I think it is time for you to campaign for central heating. Seems to me that folks in the Southern Hemisphere are not so inclined to use it as us Northerners. Maybe you should just climb under the duvet with them.

  33. Where are woo going to sleep? Right in the middle betweeen mum & dad, under the doona!

  35. The best thing to do is just climb under the covers with them. It's real cozy in there!

  36. Huffle,

A new blankie, and thicker? Show the humans and slide underneath and they'll be wondering where on earth you went. You'll be all toasty and snug, and they'll be freaking out. We just love to torture our humans this way.

Glad to see you are even better looking than the last time we visited your blog. The humans are being very stubborn about our time on the computer. Rescue and work seem to have taken over around here. We're even joining forces with Witty to get them back in line though!

    Enjoy your nap.

    Loving Life,
    Lola

  39. Aw Huffle, you should get to keep your blankie on the bed!
Our mummy is so silly, she has DOUBLE DOONA now... daddy says he doesn't want 2 so only her side is a big doona mountain. Pricilla likes to snuggle inside there on 'level 1' (in between the 2 doonas) mawhawhaw!
